On Wednesday, November 8th, 120 City of Tucson and Pima County employees received foundational knowledge to better survive an active violence event. Conducted by Integrated Community Solutions to Active Violence Events (ICSAVE), the RUN.HIDE.FIGHT. Response Model is a set of proactive, options-based strategies, that increase community members’ chances of survival and bridge the gap between the time a violent event begins, and law enforcement arrives. These participants learned and discussed the decisive advantages of proactive vs. passive response strategies and are now more empowered to help save lives!
